Inviting Team Members

FlagPal is designed for teams. Invite your colleagues so you can collaborate on feature flags, experiences, experiments, and metrics together.

Who Can Be Invited?

Anyone with an email address can be invited to your project. They'll receive an email with a unique invitation link and will need to create a FlagPal account (or log in if they already have one).

Step 1: Go to Project Settings

Find the Project Settings in the navigation. Look for your project name or a settings/gear icon.

Step 2: Navigate to Invitations

In Project Settings, find the Invitations section.

Step 3: Send an Invitation

  1. Click Invite a user
  2. Enter the teammate's email address
  3. Click Send Invitation

An email will be sent to that address with a unique link to accept the invitation.

Step 4: They Accept the Invitation

Your teammate will receive an email with a link. When they click it:

  • If they already have a FlagPal account, they'll be logged in and added to the project (if they accept)
  • If they don't have an account, they'll be prompted to create one first, then added to the project

Removing a Team Member

To remove someone from your project:

  1. Go to Project SettingsUsers
  2. Find the team member in the list
  3. Click the Remove from project button

Once removed, they'll no longer have access to your project's flags, experiments, or metrics.

Team Collaboration Tips

Use Descriptions

When multiple people work on the same project, good descriptions on Feature Flags, Experiences, and Experiments help everyone understand what's going on.

Document Your Experiments

Before running an experiment, write your hypothesis in the Description field. When the experiment ends, update the description with the result.

Communicate Changes

If you're deactivating an important Experience or making changes to a running Experiment, let your team know first — it can affect what users see in real time.

Use Clear Naming Conventions

Agree on naming conventions as a team. For example:

  • Feature flags: [area]_[feature_name] (e.g., checkout_new_flow)
  • Experiments: [description] — [quarter/year] (e.g., "Button Color Test — Q2 2024")

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I give some members read-only access?
All team members currently have full access to manage the project. If you need restricted access, please contact support.

How many members can I invite?
This depends on your subscription plan. Check the pricing page or your account settings for limits.

Can team members invite others?
Yes, currently any team member can invite additional people to the project.

What happens if I remove someone while they're in the middle of a task?
They'll immediately lose access to the FlagPal dashboard and won't be able to make changes. Any changes they already saved remain in place.
